FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The J.O.S.H Foundation (Joining Others Seeking Healing) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a place of remembrance for grieving parents, families and individuals who have suffered the loss of a child.
On Saturday, November 4, the J.O.S.H Foundation will be hosting a Walk & Run-A-Thon to raise money for an “Angel of Hope” memorial garden to be located within Carroll County’s new South Carroll Senior and Community Center-slated to open in the spring of 2009. The memorial garden will be a quiet place for reflection, remembrance and honoring for grieving families.
The Angel of Hope monument and memorial garden is one of sixty-eight statues and gardens throughout the United States. THIS ANGEL OF HOPE MEMORIAL GARDEN WILL BE THE “FIRST” SUCH GARDEN IN THE STATE OF MARYLAND.
Cynthia Hughes, created the J.O.S.H. Foundation in memory of her twenty-one year old son, Joshua Samuel Hughes who was tragically killed in an auto accident on November 7, 2003. She wanted to initiate a cause in Josh's name to create and organize remembrance initiatives to help comfort and support other grieving families and friends.

We welcome ages 12 through adult (ages 12-18 years must have written consent from a parent or guardian).
